**Boeing Australia are currently **a seeking an **Application Database Administrator** to be based in our Melbourne office.
The **Application Database Administrator** is a member of the IT Systems team, and is responsible for providing support & maintenance for all Boeing Oracle and SQL Server databases, including Oracle eBusiness Application Database Administration.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Ensure alignment of proposed solutions meet with enterprise policies, procedures and standards and direction.
- Administer and support databases (Oracle, SQL Server and various Open Source software) across various production and non-production environments to ensure optimal performance
- Perform and support operational backups and recovery systems or procedures by to meet customer requirements and align with corporate disaster recovery guidelines.
- Assist in the creation, planning and scheduling data migrations that maintain data integrity after transfer from one environment to another.
- Work independently to maintain business critical databases and uses judgment to determine the appropriate database management functions
- Support Global Compliance and Process Improvement activities, including commonality of processes and procedures.
**To be successful in this role you will need**:
- Experience in an MS SQL Server 2016 through current version.
- Experience in supporting multiple versions of Oracle Databases (12- 19c). PeopleSoft, Cognos BI, data warehouses desirable
- Proven experience in an Oracle environment using RAC and Grid Control in Unix OS environment LINUX (OEL, RedHat) highly regarded.
- Experience with Oracle eBusiness, Data Guard, Golden Gate replication, highly regarded.
- Experience with Open Source database software including but not limited to PostgreSQL and MongoDB highly regarded.
- Ability to obtain a Defence Security clearance to SECRET or above essential.
- The ability to undertake adhoc tasks out of hours and available to be rostered for on-call duties when required.
