The Opportunity
This is a newly created role to create the commercial foundations for long-term, reliable deployment at scale by originating anchor pilots, securing early commercial commitments and building a repeatable sales approach in a greenfield environment.
Candidates must hold valid working rights in Australia, including Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or appropriate work visa.
The role combines strategic and hands‐on responsibilities including building pipeline, developing go-to-market activity translating customer demand into practical sales outcomes. Key areas of focus include:
* Identify and prioritise opportunities across fleet operators, freight and logistics, charging operators, utilities, infrastructure owners, and heavy transport stakeholders.
* Originate and close anchor pilot deals, from initial engagement, commercial negotiation to execution readiness.
* Translate complex technical capability into compelling customer value propositions, including proposals and business cases.
* Partner with engineering, technology, and leadership to align commercial and technical delivery.
Your Experience
This opportunity suits a seasoned commercial sales executive who has sold complex technical, infrastructure, or energy solutions, ideally in EV charging, power electronics, renewable energy, electrical infrastructure, or an adjacent sector. You are fluent in high-value, long-cycle B2B sales and have worked with fleet, freight, logistics, utility, infrastructure, or transport customers. You have built or developed commercial sales functions in growth environments.
A minimum of 8-12 years of B2B sales experience is required, demonstrating proven expertise in complex technical solution sales.
Experience building or developing commercial sales functions in growth or startup environments is highly preferred.
You have solid technical aptitude to engage with technical leads and strong commercial nous to develop and deliver business cases and proposals whilst being equally effective in a boardroom as on site or the shop floor. Formal qualifications in business, engineering, commerce, or science are welcome; equivalent commercial experience in a relevant technical industry is a distinct advantage.
Above all, this role suits someone who is a self-starter, owns outcomes, communicates with clarity, and brings presence and enthusiasm to bring customers and colleagues on the journey.
