We are currently seeking applications for Patient Service Assistants to provide care, support and cleaning (ward and discharge) within a multi-disciplinary team in a hospital or health care environment.
Casual day and evening shifts available in the Perth area.
What is involved in this role?
* Assisting patients with performing basic tasks such as eating, dressing and toileting when necessary
* Provide mobility services which include patient transfer via wheelchair, patient trolley or bed
* Work with the hospital food services department to provide patient meal delivery service
* Engage in housekeeping tasks such as replacing linens on beds, cleaning patient rooms and removing and replacing trash bags
* Cleaning using hospital strength cleaning agents required to meet hospital infection control standards
* Required to work shift work
* Ability to work autonomously and within a multi-disciplinary team
The ideal candidate will have:
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills
* National Police Clearance or NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Current Working with Children Check
* Criminal Clearance Record Screen (or willing to obtain)
* Immunisation Evidence if working in a Hospital (Vaccination Certificate): Hepatitis B, Influenza, MMR (if non-immune), Pertussis (dTpa), Varicella (if non-immune)
* Evidence of COVID-19 vaccinations and current Influenza vaccination
