Clinical Research Fellow Respiratory Medicine & Oncology
We are seeking a versatile and innovative Clinical Research Fellow to join the Research team for a 12-month mixed clinical and research position.
The role provides high level clinical and research service from February 2026 and offers training from Perth's leading specialists in respiratory and oncology research while supporting the junior doctor cohort.
Responsibilities
Participate in the development and conduct of clinical research in respiratory medicine / respiratory oncology.
Participate in the conduct of clinical trials as a sub-investigator or co-investigator (as appropriate), liaising with the principal investigator when required.
Involve in multidisciplinary management of patients, including consultation requests for Allied Health and other medical specialties and nurse case managers.
Contribute to all aspects of clinical care for admitted patients, working with nursing staff, allied health professionals, pastoral care services, and other clinicians both onsite and offsite.
Participate in MER calls.
Provide clinical supervision and teaching as required, and assist in the professional development of junior medical doctors and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
Participate in peer review and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and requirements
You will have General Registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) with at least three years post-graduate experience.
You will have a proven interest in clinical research and a desire to improve your research skills with strong planning and communication skills.

We can offer
Highly competitive salary and entitlements: $120,492 to $149,420 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
