Occupational Therapy - Grade 1 New Graduate Clinician/Researcher at Alfred Health. This is a fixed-term role from January 2026 to January 2028. Full-time at 80 hours per fortnight. Occupational Therapist Grade 1 Classification (VE8-VE9). Clinician Researcher New Graduate with Honours. Alfred Health sites.
The Position Summary
This position will bridge the gap between clinician and researcher, providing an exciting role as a clinician-researcher Occupational Therapist within the team at Alfred Health. The split of this role includes 3 days a week in clinical work and 2 days per week in research, but may flex according to department needs. The clinical role includes providing Occupational Therapy services within a designated clinical caseload appropriate to the staff member's experience and competency. All staff receive clinical supervision and training as part of the Grade 1 education and new graduate programs. From a research perspective, the role provides research support to the department under the guidance of the Grade 4 Research Lead and Managers, including research education, ethics applications and supporting approved studies. Alfred Health's Occupational Therapy Service offers regular clinical supervision, opportunities for continued professional development and a supportive team environment.
Skills and Qualifications Required
New graduate clinician (within 12 months of graduation)
Research Honours degree
Full Registration held (or eligible) with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
Member of OT Australia (or eligibility for membership)
