ACCIONA is a global leader in the development and delivery of sustainable infrastructure. This project involves the delivery of major civil works, including complex retaining wall structures, supporting critical infrastructure outcomes and long-term community benefits.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer - Civil to join our project team. Reporting to the Project Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of civil construction works, with a key focus initially on retaining wall structures. This role will see you take ownership of site-based engineering activities and contribute to achieving project objectives across safety, quality, cost, and programme.
Key Accountabilities
* Oversee and coordinate site activities to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project timelines
* Manage the planning and execution of construction works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and methodologies
* Take ownership of the delivery of retaining wall structures, ensuring quality, constructability, and compliance with design requirements
* Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to achieve programme and productivity targets
* Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and environmental standards across all site activities
* Contribute to project controls, including progress tracking, cost management, and programme reporting
* Maintain accurate project documentation, including QA records, inspections, and as-built data
Qualifications & Experience Required
* Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
* Experience working as a Site Engineer on civil infrastructure projects
* Strong experience delivering retaining wall structures
* Sound understanding of construction methodologies and site controls
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Strong communication skills with a proactive, team-focused approach
