We are currently seeking an experienced Personal Injury Legal Assistant / Junior Legal Assistant to join our Personal Injury team on a full-time basis at our Bacchus Marsh office.
About the Role
This role will support our personal injury lawyers across a busy and varied practice, including TAC and WorkCover matters. You will play a key role in managing files, supporting lawyers, and ensuring clients receive clear, timely and compassionate service throughout their matter.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing administrative and legal support to personal injury lawyers
* Managing files from opening through to resolution
* Preparing correspondence, court documents and briefs
* Liaising with clients, barristers, medical providers and other stakeholders
* Managing diaries, appointments and key deadlines
* Maintaining accurate file notes and records in the practice management system
* Assisting with billing, invoicing and general matter administration
About You
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a legal assistant or junior legal assistant (personal injury experience preferred)
* Sound understanding of TAC and/or WorkCover matters (highly regarded)
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Confident communicator with a professional and empathetic manner
* Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Proactive, reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team
