The Role Reporting to the Leading Hand/Supervisor your key responsibilities are: Responsible for operation of crane used in heavy lifting and transport Responsible for personal safety and safety of co-workers Shows commitment to safety culture through personal behaviour and willingness to influence others Responsible for slings, cables, straps, and the crane prior to lifting operations Perform preventative maintenance as required to ensure safe and continual service of crane Remains in continual voice (radio), hand, and or communication with rigger while operating the crane Assures that all lifts are within load limits of equipment and correctly rigged Assures that lifting gear is inspected prior to use Follows correct lock-out and tag procedures Operates crane equipment to hoist materials and equipment in a safe and efficient manner About You To be successful in the role you will possess the following: Hold a current High Risk Licence for CN and C6 licence and VOC Have a minimum of 2 years' experience within construction industry Produce Proof of Right to work in Australia Current Working Safely at Heights Certificate Current High risk elevating work platform license and VOC Current Drivers Licence Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card) Ability to complete and pass a pre-employment medical and drug alcohol screen.
