This role will be part of and providing support across the Office of the General Counsel and Executive Director, Legal Services, Governance, Performance and Risk (GPR) and Digital Services. GPR team works closely with internal stakeholders, central agencies, external statutory authorities and portfolio partners to deliver on corporate governance assurance, strategic and operational planning and reporting, as well as managing enterprise risks, fraud and corruption risks, and information privacy. Digital Services team works closely with stakeholders to develop and implement evidence-based digital strategies, policies, and roadmaps, including the department's Information Security Management System (ISMS) and strategic digital and ICT planning. Legal Services team provides legal advice and support to help the department achieve its objectives.
In This Role You Will Support The Office To
* Provide secretariat functions for the Audit and Risk Management Committee.
* Maintain a high level of quality and accuracy in the preparation of all administrative documents associated with administrative activities of the unit.
* Provide expert advice to ensure the correct standards, templates and processes are applied, including providing feedback on opportunities for improvement to support the delivery of services across the Division.
* Maintain and update periodic reports specific to financial management.
* Support the preparation and coordination of forms relating to onboarding of new starters, employee separations etc. for the Office of the General Counsel and Executive Director, Legal Services, GPR and Digital Services.
* Assist with the coordination of information to enable completion of briefs, internal reports and advice using MECS.
* Actively support and participate in the delivery and coordination of other business management functions and projects as directed.
* Support with the development of departmental governance documents such as corporate policy updates, guidelines, procedures and registers.
* assistance to the department's business continuity planning processes.
* Actively participate in the delivery and coordination of other business management functions including the Estimates process.
* Act as the local point of contact for to support the resolution of workforce enquiries including liaising with Queensland Shared Services.
* Ensure and processes are in place to deliver corporate and business accountabilities.
* Complete other administrative tasks as directed by the General Counsel and Executive Director.
* Provide support to Legal Services in relation to the management of matters, reporting and precedents management.
* Coordinate work to meet deadlines and commitments and to ensure efficient and effective business service delivery.
* Assist with project work to support a range of business management functions are required.
