**About the role**:
We are looking for an experienced full time house manager, who is committed to supporting people with disabilities to live their life to the fullest in a supported independent living accommodation.
The role is to oversee daily operations of residential setting shared home. You will lead and oversee a team of Support Workers, engage with family members and stakeholders, and work directly with participants in ensuring our participants achieve their goals, remain committed to community, culture and all the things they value the most.
**About You**:
- Have a present-day understanding of best practice disability support, including a commitment to person-centred active support.
- Build strong relationships with residents and their family members and stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach to the planning and delivery of supports.
- Have demonstrated ability to roster, supervise and coach support workers.
- Be open minded and flexible, with the capacity to deal with unexpected or challenging situations.
- Proactively drive continuous improvement
- Recognise the importance of promoting to people with a disability to make choices, try new things, accept there are challenges and provide reassurance to work through problems.
- Understand the importance for reflective practice in the planning & reviews of supports & future learning.
**Duties**:
- Lead and support a team of Disability Support Workers. Providing coaching and developing opportunities, managing conflict and addressing performance within your team
- Overseeing manual handling activities, personal care and household tasks such as menu planning, cooking, cleaning, medication administration and checking in medication arrivals
- Oversee and manage daily operations of support services.
- Work collaboratively with participants care team including allied health specialists to ensure participants care plans is being met and support services are of the highest quality.
- Ensure participant documentation is regularly reviewed and up to date.
- Conduct new support staff induction.
- Manage conflict and address performance within your team.
- General administration duties
**Essential Criteria**:
- Minimum Cert III in Individual Support and/or Mental Health or similar
- Minimum 12 months experience in a similar role
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- COVID 19 Vaccination Certificate
- unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence
- First Aid Certificate with CPR

**Salary**: $63,236.90 - $116,197.39 per year
