*The Client & You:
Established 30 years ago, a growing organisation that designs special-purpose machinery for several sectors, including the petrochemical, refrigeration, maritime, commercial properties, hospitals, schools, and more. An exciting opportunity where no 2 projects are generally the same. You will find yourself responsible for end-to-end engineering design, not just individual components, but complete buildable systems, integrated structural, mechanical, and electro-mechanical systems.
Key responsibilities:*
* The work is practical and varied, working closely with the R&D department.
* Design from initial concept through to completion.
* Mechanical design of P&IDs, pumps, motors, compressors, centrifugal style condensers, reciprocating compressors, pipework & more.
* Structural design and detailing of steel frames, walkways, stairs, platforms & more.
* Mechatronic and electrical integrated skid rooms, pneumatic, hydraulic design, design of integrated drives, motors, subsystems, linear motion systems & more.
* 3D design & drafting and design with Inventor and other software to ISO 9001 standards.
* Strong focus on continuous improvement and product development.
* Project Coordination assisting with studies and overall business requirements.
* Liaising with clients and sub-contractors daily, weekly, and monthly.
* Material estimation, control of BOMs.
* Report and present project analysis within design reviews.
* Attend site trips as and when required.
This role suits a degree-educated Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineer who enjoys seeing what they design actually get built, delivered, and commissioned. Engineers with a strong design background, practical mindset, and experience in industrial or engineered systems environments will thrive.
