About the role
Lantern Space is a progressive startup business in trading and retailing innovative architectural material, we are seeking an exceptional Showroom Sales Consultant to join our dynamic and multicultural team in our Fortitude Valley showroom. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and driving sales of our decorative materials including Soft stone sheets, premium designed wall panel and acoustic panel solutions.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong appreciation for high-end design and interiors, and demonstrated experience in product sales, multi-tasks coordination and exceptional client service.
You will be given full product training and opportunity to travel abroad to learn about the manufacture process involved in producing these innovative materials.
The showroom is open 6 days a week and would require someone to work Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing exceptional customer service and creating an engaging in-showroom experience
* Proactively interact with customers to understand their needs and recommend the best products for their requirements, both in person or emails
* Demonstrating product features and benefits to customers
* Closing sales and ensuring a seamless customer journey
* Maintaining expert product knowledge and keep up-to-date with interior trends
* Contributing to the overall sales and revenue targets of the showroom
* Assisting with showroom merchandising and visual presentations
* Attend to back of house maintenance and housekeeping
Skills and Experience we are looking for:
* Interior Design tertiary qualification desirable
* Enthusiasm, a positive attitude and a drive to exceed sales targets
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales or customer service role, preferably in interior design market
* Ability to read and work with interior documentation, including drawing layouts professionally
* Exceptional understanding of spatial planning, colour, and fabrics
* High level knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Business Central, PowerPoint and Excel
