About the Role
This apprenticeship program is designed for those who are eager to learn and develop their skills in heavy vehicle maintenance. As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of diesel vehicles, perform general maintenance and repair tasks, and gain hands-on experience with engine component rebuilds.
The Program
You will be supported by experienced workshop staff who will mentor you in high levels of technical knowledge and skills. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to develop key interpersonal skills and leadership qualities that will set you up for long-term success.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
* A strong desire to obtain Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
* The ability to obtain your Class C Driver's License once of age
* A willingness to participate in short-term inter-depot travel to facilitate technical learning experiences
* Good written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
* Reliable and punctual
