About The Role
The Senior Sales Executive plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth through a multifaceted approach, encompassing outbound prospecting, lead generation, and managing inbound sales inquiries. This position demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and proactive engagement to effectively identify, nurture, and convert leads into satisfied customers. As a senior figure within the sales team, the Senior Sales Executive will also provide mentorship and guidance to Sales Executives, contributing to the overall success of the sales organisation.
What You'll Do
Lead Generation, Qualification & Conversion
* Proactively develop and execute outbound sales strategies to identify and engage potential prospects within target markets.
* Utilise various channels such as cold calling, email campaigns, networking events, and social media to generate new leads and opportunities.
* Evaluate and qualify leads based on established criteria, ensuring alignment with the company's ideal customer profile and value proposition.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound sales inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels.
* Drive the sales process forward by engaging prospects in consultative discussions, conducting product demonstrations, and providing tailored information about products and services.
Pipeline Management & Forecasting
* Manage and prioritise leads and opportunities in the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow‐up and progression through the sales process.
* Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate resources and support needed to advance opportunities and close deals.
* Provide regular updates and forecasts on sales pipeline activity and performance to senior management.
Customer Relationship Management
* Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and customers, serving as a trusted advisor and point of contact throughout the sales cycle.
* Provide exceptional customer service and support to address inquiries, resolve issues, and nurture long‐term relationships.
* Be available to respond to and manage direct enquiries via inbound phone line, ensuring timely and professional engagement with prospective and existing merchants.
Sales Performance & Reporting
* Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets, consistently driving revenue growth and contributing to the achievement of team goals.
* Maintain accurate and up‐to‐date records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions in the CRM system.
Leadership & Mentorship
* Provide leadership and mentorship to Sales Executives, offering guidance on best practices, sales techniques, and professional development.
* Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
What You'll Bring
* Minimum 5 years of experience in outbound sales and lead generation, preferably within the technology or SaaS industry.
* Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth through proactive prospecting and strategic sales planning.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Strong leadership abilities with a track record of mentoring and developing sales talent.
* Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
* Adaptability and willingness to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
* Goal‐driven with a passion for achieving and exceeding sales targets.
* Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalise on market opportunities.
