About Your Role
QAL is currently seeking a motivated and safety-focused Boilerhouse Controller to join our Bayer Department. This role is integral to the operation of critical steam and energy systems, contributing directly to our vision of a Safe, Stable, and Sustainable operation.
Responsibilities
* Demonstrating a strong commitment to working safely, both independently and as part of a collaborative team
* Ensuring all activities are performed in accordance with health, safety, environmental, and community policies and procedures
* Executing daily operational duties related to boilers, steam turbines, and auxiliary plant systems
* Monitoring plant performance, conducting equipment isolations, commissioning tasks, and performing preventative maintenance
* Maintaining high standards of housekeeping to support a clean, organised, and efficient work environment
What you will bring
* Demonstrated commitment to personal and team safety
* Possess current WH&S-endorsed Boiler Advanced and Turbine Operation certification
* Proven recent experience in operating boilers and steam turbines
* Strong problem-solving skills with effective fault-finding capabilities
* Positive, self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic
