Senior Contracts Advisor – MiningLocation: Perth, WA | Commencement: 1 December 2025 | Engagement Type: 12-month contract with potential for extension | Roster: Monday to Friday (5:2)Our client, a leading organisation in the resources sector, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Contracts Advisor to provide end-to-end commercial and contractual support on a major mining project.
This role is based in Perth and offers an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing team within a well-established business.Position OverviewThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of contractual and commercial processes, from procurement strategy and tender execution through to contract administration and close-out.
This includes overseeing the award and post-award management of major equipment supply and construction contracts, ensuring alignment with project timelines, commercial objectives, and company governance frameworks.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all commercial activities associated with contract formation, negotiation, and executionProvide ongoing contract administration and support including:Management of contract-related correspondenceReview and approval of payment claims and variation ordersCoordination of contract progress meetings and documentationAssessment of Extension of Time (EOT) claims in consultation with project stakeholdersPreparation and review of project progress reportsEnsure compliance with relevant legislation, internal policies, and project proceduresCollaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across project, legal, procurement and finance teams to support successful contract outcomesMonitor contractor performance and maintain accurate commercial recordsQualifications & SkillsTertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Law, or a related disciplineA minimum of 8 years' experience in a contracts/commercial role supporting mining, oil & gas, or major infrastructure projectsDemonstrated experience in both contract formation and administrationStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelWell-developed commercial acumen and analytical skillsExcellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilitiesDesirableExperience with PIMS or similar contract management systemsPrevious exposure to large-scale EPC or EPCM projectsBenefitsPerth-based roleCompetitive daily rate reflective of experienceStable, long-term project engagementOpportunity for contract extension based on performance and project needsJoin a respected mining operator with a strong safety and performance cultureWork within a multidisciplinary and collaborative commercial team environmentApplication ProcessTo express your interest in this prospect, please submit your current CV via the link provided.At Chandler Macleod, we are committed to fostering a diverse workforce where everyone is welcome.
