About the role
We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join the team at Latham Projects' in Gympie, Queensland. This full-time role will involve using your exceptional carpentry skills to contribute to the delivery of high-quality construction projects.
What you'll be doing
* Perform a range of carpentry tasks including framing, fit-out, and finishing work
* Read and interpret plans, specifications, and other technical documents
* Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently
* Collaborate with the construction team to ensure projects are completed on time and to the required standard
* Maintain a clean and organised worksite
* Renovations to Education & Government buildings
* Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant building codes and regulations
What we're looking for
* Qualified Carpenter with a minimum of 3 years' experience in the construction industry
* Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
* Commitment to safety and a strong safety record
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
* Happy to work away in remote locations
* Must have Australian work rights
* Must hold a current Construction Induction (White Card)
