Hours: Part‐Time | Monday to Sunday (Days & Evenings) approx. 25 hours per week
Sites: Pharmacies, Neighbourhood Shopping Centres & Other
We are seeking a reliable, professional, and proactive Static Security Officer to join our team on a part‐time basis. This role involves providing a visible security presence predominately across pharmacies and neighbourhood shopping centres within the Rockingham area, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for staff, customers, and the community.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong situational awareness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a range of security and customer‐service‐focused tasks with confidence and professionalism.
Responsibilities
* Maintain a strong, visible presence to deter theft, anti‐social behaviour, and safety risks.
* Monitor site activity and respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, or suspicious behaviour.
* Provide customer focused support to pharmacy and retail staff, assisting with safety concerns and operational needs.
* Conduct regular foot patrols of designated areas, including internal and external zones.
* Manage access control, monitor entry/exit points, and ensure compliance with site procedures.
* Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and escalate matters as required.
* Liaise professionally with clients, tenants, contractors, and members of the public.
* Assist with emergency response procedures, including evacuations when necessary.
* Uphold company standards, site expectations, and relevant legislation at all times.
Requirements
* Current WA Security Officer Licence.
* Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011 or equivalent).
* Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
* Strong observational abilities and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism under pressure.
* Availability across weekdays and weekends for day and evening shifts.
* Reliable transport to travel between sites within the Rockingham area.
* Live local to the Rockingham and surrounding areas.
* Previous experience in retail, shopping centre, or pharmacy security.
* Experience managing challenging behaviours or high‐volume customer environments.
* A calm, confident, and customer‐focused approach to security work.
