One of Australia's most progressive Federal Government departments are looking to engage an experienced Lead Experience Designer to enhance the digital experience of users interacting with external and internal platforms. You will join a project delivery team to support planning in delivery across Search and Discover, Content and Workflow Management. The role will be based in Canberra with flexible working arrangements also available. The successful Lead Experience Designer will be offered a contract until June 2026 with a 3 month extension option.
The successful Lead Experience Designer will be responsible for, but not limited to:
* Undertaking Experience Design for a Digital Experience project commencing with a discovery phase
* Carrying out research to understand behaviour and creating new processes for optimising User Experience
* Facilitating requirements workshops and design thinking sessions
The successful Lead Experience Designer will have experience in the following:
* Proficiency in designing services and experiences that prioritise the needs and preference of End Users
* Ability to conduct User Research and Usability Testing
* Experience with Human Centred design
