Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse to join our community mental health team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and support to children and young people with complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* To assess and develop individualized care plans that cater to the unique needs of each child or young person.
* To work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, families, and carers to provide comprehensive care.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A Bachelor of Nursing degree (or equivalent) with current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Proven experience working with children and young people with complex mental health needs, preferably within a community-based setting.
* An understanding of the principles of trauma-informed care and cultural safety.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications:
The following qualifications would be highly regarded:
* A postgraduate qualification in mental health nursing or a related field.
* Specialized training in areas such as crisis management, family therapy, or group work.
