About the Opportunity

To support ARTC's interaction with the community by effectively managing our enquiries, complaints and feedback system and providing guidance to ARTC staff who are dealing with local community matters. In addition, this role is responsible for enterprise management of our CRM and various reports to the business.

Responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to:

* Manage and oversee the day to day receipt, logging and response (or delegation) of all enquiries, complaints and feedback received by the ARTC.
* Work with managers, team leaders, technical experts and staff across the Company to investigate enquiries and feedback from members of the community including local Members of Parliament, local Councils, Government agencies, landowners, community groups and members of the public.
* Proactive identification of community issues that may require further attention or escalation and timely communication of those issues to relevant business group(s) for action.
* Support the enterprise management and development of the Customer Relations Management System that manages and tracks all general and environment enquiries, complaints and feedback across the ARTC.
* Provide input and assistance in implementing regional-specific strategies, plans and procedures.
* Participate in management and operational plans and content.
* Provide day to day support in managing key stakeholder relationships.
* Ensure on-going compliance with NSW and SA Environmental Licenses with respect to environmental complaints handling and recording.
* Work with Manager Community Relations to develop trend reporting, as well as updating of various high level reports across ARTC.
* Responsibility for the development and maintenance of all community focused collateral including community content on the ARTC website and intranet.
* Consistently look for opportunities to improve our interaction with the community in line with ARTC's strategic objectives.
* Ensure we meet our legislative obligations in handling community enquiries and feedback.
* Support the broader Community Relations team as necessary.
* Support, as necessary, ARTCs response to community in dealing with crisis situations.

What do we want from you?

Essential:

* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (Communications, Community Relations, Law, Environment), or proven experience in a community relations, government relations or issues management role
* Demonstrated experience gained in social performance, engagement or communication related roles with operational experience
* Relevant work experience in either media relations, journalism, local government, customer service
* Experience in the management of a customer relationship management system (CRM)
* Experience in developing high level reports, utilising data recorded within a CRM
* Experience in writing and preparing communications materials
* Experience in problem solving
* Excellent interpersonal skills and negotiating abilities

Understanding of the workings of Federal, State and Local Government

Desirable:

* Experience in community, media or government relations
* Experience in excel spreadsheet development and reporting
* Experience in managing correspondence
* Experience in database management and/or stakeholder communications software
