UGL has an opportunity for experienced General Service Operator to join our team. This role will be based at our site in Varanus Island. Working closely with our long‐standing client, this role will see you deliver backfill maintenance supporting a major gas project.

* Operating various cranes to company and manufacturers' requirements;
* Ensuring the crane operates within the manufacturers' limits;
* Maintain crane on a daily basis by inspecting for defects or wear and lubricating as required;
* Operating the crane in a safe and responsible manner at all times;
* Check the condition of the ground (e.g. building site) before setting up the crane;
* Place the correct equipment under the outriggers (normally timber blocks, but can be steel plates depending on the site conditions);
* Check that the crane is level on the outriggers before attempting to lift and place a load;
* Be aware of how much material can be safely hoisted in each load according to the crane's capacity and weather conditions e.g. high winds;
The Successful Candidate Will Require:
* Crane Operators Ticket (National or State ticket)
* Minimum of 1 year experience on a maintenance site
* Heavy vehicle licence for mobile cranes and hydraulic cranes (licence for crawlers preferred but not essential)
* Able to perform duties, maintaining high standards in both safety and quality.
