The Maker Designer Kitchens, part of the ABN Group, is Western Australia's largest manufacturer of kitchens, stone, and glass. As Australia's leading cabinetry and stone manufacturer, we take pride in designing and crafting all our kitchens locally in our state-of-the-art Bassendean factory. Our services include the design, manufacture, and installation of cabinetry, stone, and glass, serving both retail kitchen renovations and new home fit outs for ABN Residential building companies.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager, the primary responsibility of the role is to ensure the business is running as effectively as possible, with a focus on process optimisation, data-driven decision making and strategic planning whilst supporting continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and analyse key data and production statistics, providing forward-looking insights to drive the efficiency of the business
Implement, review and continuously improve business processes
Oversee supply chain management, including inventory and variance analysis, and manage supplier performance
Oversee fleet management
Champion the development of business strategic plans, in alignment with ABN strategy
Monitor and report on performance of strategic plans
Responsibility for the pivotal role in business readiness for The Maker's technology roadmap.
Ensuring new software and processes are fit for purpose for The Maker
Providing feedback and input to key ABN stakeholders to ensure the business is supported during technological change
Lead change management and communications internally for The Maker
The key contact for ABN shared service teams, including Finance and Technology teams
Responsibility for business readiness for The Maker's premise relocation, including; planning and preparation for the move, determining resourcing and requirements for the move, internal communications related to the move and logistics.
Provide a positive contribution to the culture of The Maker, demonstrating strong leadership and exemplifying our core values
Mentor, coach and support individual staff development for the Purchasing and Stores departments
Conduct reviews of performance agreements, training and development plans with staff
About You
5+ years in operations management or a similar leadership role
Proven experience in streamlining processes, improving efficiency, and reducing costs
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial oversightDemonstrated ability to implement and manage KPI's
Experience in change management and leading organisational transformation
Strong understanding of supply chain, logistics, and inventory management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to think strategically and have a results driven mindset
Manufacturing industry experience (highly desirable)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
