Key Responsibilities
This role oversees the end-to-end planning of vendor direct materials based on MRP requirements, including issuing and monitoring purchase orders (POs), coordinating with freight forwarders for vessel booking, and synchronizing shipments of Vendor Direct with PGCS components.
Freight Management
We are responsible for the seamless execution of all new product introduction (NPI) projects to meet launch dates, freight carrier invoice management, resolution of freight issues, and tracking backorders with escalation when necessary.
* Manage freight tables and routes for efficient delivery.
* Identify opportunities for freight optimization and implement process improvements.
* Collaborate with procurement to develop and implement new supply chain processes.
* Maintain regular communication with freight carriers to track performance and develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Vendor Management
The incumbent will be responsible for issuing POs to vendors, monitoring confirmation and delivery dates, and ensuring high-quality deliveries from suppliers.
* Work closely with procurement to monitor supplier quality and delivery performance.
* Manage vendor complaints and non-conformance reports (NCRs) efficiently.
* Collaborate with the quality team on metrics, trends, and complaint resolutions.
Performance Metrics and Reporting
The role requires timely reporting of Vendor Direct Metrics, demand change request metrics, and monthly Operational Scorecard updates. The successful candidate will also present a monthly scorecard to senior management.
* Collaborate with demand planning on on-time delivery (OTD) management.
* Work with the IT function to automate and report on key metrics.
GCS Compliance and Controls
The incumbent must ensure compliance with internal and external regulations related to carrier management, including GCS and SOX controls.
* Maintain the vendor direct process flow and GCS controls to ensure compliance.
Master Data Accuracy
Collaborate with plant procurement and customer engagement teams to ensure accurate data on vendor lead times, MOQs, shipping conditions, hazardous materials, and temperature-controlled conditions in Singapore.
* Lead data cleanse and analysis activities to improve data accuracy.
Qualifications

Education or Professional Certifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Inventory, or Materials Planning.
Experience
* At least 5 years of experience in a related Supply Chain or Operations role, preferably in raw materials planning and S&D ambient.
* Strong operational experience in a dynamic multinational organization is essential.
* Experience working with third parties and colleagues in remote locations is an advantage.
Knowledge and Job Skills
* SAP MM and PP modules knowledge.
* Report generation skills in SAP Business Intelligence/Business Objects.
* Power BI knowledge is an advantage.
* Strong Excel capabilities.
* Ability to manage multiple complex tasks.
* Proven ability to execute and deliver on commitments.
