This full-time Project Supervisor/Carpenter role with Orixon Pty Ltd in Osborne Park, Western Australia offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional to take on a supervisory position overseeing key construction projects. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will lead a team of carpenters and other tradespeople, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of high-quality construction projects.
What you'll be doing
Supervise and coordinate the work of a team of carpenters and other trades to deliver construction projects on time and within budget
Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance and support to the team
Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process
Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and company policies
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to maintain effective communication and project coordination
Participate in the planning and scheduling of project activities
Contribute to the continuous improvement of construction processes and practices
What we're looking for
Significant experience (8+ years) as a carpenter or construction supervisor in the commercial or residential construction industry
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment, as well as relevant building codes and regulations
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills to effectively manage a team and liaise with clients and stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to plan, organise, and coordinate construction projects to meet deadlines and budgets
Commitment to safety and a track record of promoting a safe working environment
Relevant trade qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent
