Your Opportunity
As our Organisational Change Manager (internally known as Manager Change – Centre of Excellence), your ability to design and lead change will be key to Energy Queensland’s continued success and growth.
Based at one of our offices in Toowoomba, Brisbane, Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville, or Cairns, you’ll develop strategic initiatives to facilitate EQL-wide process improvement and change.
Reporting to the General Manager of Strategy & Enablement, you will be part of the Regulation, Risk & Strategy Division, which manages the EQL Change Framework. The Change Centre of Excellence (COE) supports deploying key strategic and business initiatives, developing, deploying, and embedding best practice organisation change frameworks and methodologies in a ‘hub and spoke’ model.
Here's where you come in.
As EQL’s Organisational Change Manager, you will establish, lead, and manage our change frameworks and methodologies. You will pioneer EQL’s Change Centre of Excellence, develop our strategic change framework, and implement toolkits and methodologies. This role is highly autonomous, requiring independent decision-making daily, with strategic priorities guided by the General Manager and executive leadership.
As a High-level, Long-term Strategic Thinker, You Will
Lead, mentor, and develop a small but high-performing team, fostering positive change, continuous improvement, and open communication.
Provide expert advice and training on contemporary change management approaches to enable process optimisation.
Identify change-related capability gaps and improvement opportunities across EQL to advise on strategic initiatives and projects.
Develop strong customer and stakeholder relationships.
Create and manage reporting tools to measure the COE’s performance and impact on EQL’s strategic objectives, identifying risks and developing recommendations.
Salary starts from $206,634 for a 9-day fortnight and $233,498 for a 10-day fortnight, plus 14.75% superannuation.

What You’ll Bring
You will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Change Management, or a related field, or demonstrate equivalent experience. Post-graduate qualifications are advantageous.
Extensive (7-10 years) change management experience is essential, with proven ability to develop and deploy strategic change frameworks, establish and embed change initiatives.
Skills include:
Leading and supporting high-performing teams.
Project and initiative change management approaches.
Designing and managing organisational change functions in large organisations.
Driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Soft skills include:
Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Customer service and relationship-building skills.
Ability to see the big picture while focusing on details.
