Job Description
The First Law Officer Team is responsible for providing legal and policy advice to the Attorney-General and the Victorian Government. We are seeking an experienced Manager to lead a small team of high-performing staff in delivering our work program.
The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and the ability to build effective relationships across the department and with external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a team responsible for developing evidence-based legal and policy advice
* Deliver key functions as the First Law Officer
* Build and maintain close relationships with key stakeholders
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Bachelor of Laws or equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution
* Eligibility to apply for a practising certificate highly regarded
