Role Title: Senior Podiatrist - High Risk Foot Inclusive Health Project
Role Type: Max-term, Part‑time till June 2026 (8 hours per week)
Role Grade: Podiatrist Level 3
Department and Location: Podiatry, St Vincent's Hospital, Darlinghurst
Salary: $112,396 – $116,038 (Pro‑rata) + Super + Salary packaging
About The Role
* Deliver expert clinical care for complex foot conditions across inpatient, outpatient, and outreach settings, using advanced assessment tools and holistic approaches.
* Lead the development of a Model of Care and clinical pathways to provide tailored services for vulnerable populations, including participation in relevant research projects.
* Work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary High Risk Foot Service, advocating for patients and coordinating care to reduce hospital readmissions.
* Educate patients, carers, and staff, supervise students, and provide clinical guidance to enhance service delivery and support continuous learning.
* Adapt to changing caseloads with flexible prioritisation, act as a community resource and contribute to service development that meets patient needs.
About You
* Genuine integrity with a strong commitment to the Philosophy, Mission, and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health Australia.
* Recognised degree in Podiatry, current AHPRA registration, unrestricted NSW driver's licence, and availability to work two weekdays (Monday to Friday).
* Extensive postgraduate clinical experience – minimum 5 years in acute and community High Risk Foot clinics, with specialist skills in wound management and offloading, including casting.
* Excellent decision‑making, negotiation, and advocacy skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and organisational levels.
* Self‑motivated and adaptable, able to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams, applying advanced clinical reasoning in complex and critical situations.
* Strong communicator with proficient computer skills (MS Word, Email, electronic medical records) and a commitment to ongoing professional development, quality improvement, and evidence‑based practice.

About The Hospital
In this role you will be based at St Vincent's Hospital, Darlinghurst. A busy inner‑city hospital in a beautiful location, surrounded by great cafés, galleries and theatres, parks, nightlife, and nearby glorious beaches. A place of expert clinical care for at‑risk people. Closely partnered with universities & affiliated research institutes, many of which are located on‑campus. Centres of excellence include heart & lung transplantation, bone marrow transplantation, cardiology, cancer care, AIDS/HIV, respiratory medicine, mental health, homeless health, drug & alcohol services, and correctional health.
