About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will take ownership of all maintenance activities, ensuring plant reliability, compliance and productivity targets are consistently achieved. You will provide visible leadership within the workshop, mentor tradespeople, and drive a proactive preventative maintenance culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate maintenance and repair activities across the mobile plant fleet
* Drive safe, efficient and cost‐effective maintenance outcomes
* Ensure all maintenance reporting, compliance documentation and system updates are completed accurately (CMMS exposure highly regarded)
* Lead and mentor fitters and maintenance personnel to deliver high‐quality workmanship
* Monitor budget, labour allocation and scheduling to meet operational targets
* Identify continuous improvement opportunities to enhance fleet reliability
* Maintain strong collaboration with operations and site leadership teams
* Actively promote and enforce a positive safety culture
About You
* Extensive experience supervising maintenance teams within mining or heavy industry
* Strong exposure to heavy mobile plant and equipment
* Trade qualification (Mechanical or relevant discipline)
* Demonstrated leadership capability with strong safety and compliance focus
* Current Mining Supervisor competencies (G1, G8, G9 formerly S1, S2, S3)
* Current G2 carry out the Risk Management Process (RIIRIS402D)
* Current Standard 11
* Valid drivers licence
