Main Responsibilities
* Deliver best practice services to young people through a standardized risk assessment tool and intervention skills.
* Identify individual case needs, develop culturally appropriate interventions, and manage cases to ensure clients have opportunities to address their offending behavior.
* Foster an environment that enables external involvement and access, and internal practices that provide normalized living and working environments.
* Participate in suicide risk assessments, develop single case plans, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
* Undertake record management tasks, including maintenance of case records and performance reporting.
* Participate in training activities to maintain knowledge and competencies.
* Liaise with stakeholders, including Child Safety Services, Courts, police, families, and community agencies.
Delegations
Caseworkers have statutory delegations under the Youth Justice Act 1992.
