Diverse Civil Group Pty Ltd About the Role We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of civil construction projects across Adelaide and regional South Australia.

This is a key leadership role responsible for managing project performance across commercial, financial, technical, and safety functions—ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will act as the central point of coordination between clients, subcontractors, suppliers, site teams, and senior management, ensuring smooth project execution from contract award through to practical completion. Key Responsibilities Project & Contract Management Lead and manage civil construction projects from start to finish.

Oversee contract administration and ensure adherence to head contract and subcontract obligations. Prepare, review, and submit monthly Progress Claims for completed works. Develop, review, and negotiate variations to contracts.

Contribute to the negotiation of contract terms with internal and external stakeholders. Review and process subcontractor variations, EOTs, progress claims, and all financial matters, making recommendations to management. Manage client relationships, chair project meetings, and proactively address risks, scope changes, and technical issues.

Planning & Coordination Develop detailed project schedules, programs, and resource plans. Lead coordination between site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers. Conduct design and constructability reviews, resolving technical and operational issues.

Integrate procurement, logistics, and construction sequencing with key milestones. Financial Management & Cost Control Drive project financial performance through forecasting, tracking, and reporting. Contribute to detailed Cost to Complete plans, including cash-flow projections and profit/loss forecasting.

Review quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and budget allocations. Oversee procurement strategies and subcontractor/supplier selection. Implement efficiencies and cost-saving initiatives to protect project profitability.

Compliance, Safety & Quality Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, and quality standards. Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits. Maintain robust quality control processes to meet specifications and contractual requirements.

Lead continuous improvement across project delivery. About You

You will be an effective communicator and strong organiser with the ability to lead teams and manage the commercial, technical, and operational aspects of civil projects. The ideal candidate will have: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or similar. 3+ years’ experience in civil construction project management including contracts management.

Strong understanding of construction contracts, variations, EOTs, and claims management. Proven financial acumen, including forecasting, budgeting, and cost control. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills. The Project Manager ensures the successful delivery of civil and commercial projects by balancing technical execution, contract administration, stakeholder coordination, and cost control—ultimately contributing to efficient, compliant, and profitable project outcomes.
