**Aboriginal Community Engagement Leadership Opportunity**
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to lead our Aboriginal Community Engagement Officer (ACEO) program at a state-wide level.
This role will contribute to improving access to legal services for First Nations People and advocate for systemic change as part of Victoria Legal Aid's Reconciliation Action Plan.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Oversee a team of ACEOs located in VLA offices across regional Victoria, fostering a supportive environment that promotes teamwork and excellence.
* Develop and implement effective monitoring and reporting processes to ensure seamless integration and management of ACEOs within local teams.
* Support the development of VLA strategies and initiatives driven through the RAP, aligning with organisational goals and objectives.
**Requirements:**
* Lived experience working with First Nations peoples, demonstrating a deep understanding of their culture and challenges.
* Proven leadership experience with diverse teams, showcasing ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
* Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal staff, external partners, and community organisations.
* Strong organisational and time management skills, ensuring efficient delivery of projects and tasks.
