About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Buyer to join the Supply Chain team based at any of our Western Australian Operations, from Bunbury in the South-West to Muchea, North of Perth, pick the site that best suits you

Locations include:

* Australind Finishing Plant – located on Old Coast Road in Australind
* North Shore Mineral Separation Plant – Located off Koombana Drive, Bunbury
* Kwinana Pigment Plant – located on Mason Road in Kwinana
* Chandala Processing Plant – located off Brand Hwy in Muchea

This position will be offered on a full time, 12 month contract, with the potential to transition into a full-time role based on performance and business needs. Working a 38-hour week compressed into a 9-day fortnight, every second Friday off

This Buyer is responsible to assist with the strategic sourcing & procurement for Facilities, I&E Maintenance, Indirect, and Inventory Materials. The Buyer ensures Procurement complies with the Site's, safety, health, environmental and quality (SHEQ) standards to ensure our continued ability to deliver product to our customers.

Key Roles and Accountabilities

* Negotiation of lowest cost materials
* Building strategic relationships with suppliers
* Support for local supply chain lead and teams
* Leading the analysis of and evaluation of quotes to determine optimum value
* Reviews purchase requisitions and creates purchase order
* Identifies potential suppliers and develops, reviews, and issues requests for quotations
* Managing and expediting material orders
* Assisting with Logistic requirement of the business
* Administrative support where required

About you:

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

* Minimum 3 years purchasing experience
* Experience working in SAP (essential)
* Experience working in SAP 4 Hana / Coupa (Highly Advantageous)
* Excellent written and oral communication
* Excellent people skills and ability to work with internal customers
* Well developed numeric ability organisational skills
* Working knowledge of Microsoft packages, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Working knowledge of inventory and maintenance requirements
* Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
* Experience building procurement strategies (preferred)
* Procurement or Supply Chain qualification (preferred)
