The Opportunity
We are looking for an efficient, friendly, and professional Customer Service Officer to join our team at the Kununurra Leisure Centre (KLC) who will contribute to maintaining a welcoming and safe environment while supporting the delivery of quality leisure and fitness services. Acting as the first point of contact for patrons and visitors, the Customer Service Officer will be responsible for managing front desk operations including reception, membership enquiries, facility bookings, and cash handling. Responsibilities formally outlined within the position description include:
* Serve as the first point of contact for all patrons entering the Leisure Centre
* Provide friendly and professional assistance with general enquiries, memberships, bookings, and programs.
* Process payments, memberships, and facility bookings, and reconcile daily takings.
* Maintain accurate records of transactions and customer data in accordance with Shire procedures.
* Monitor the cleanliness and presentation of the front‐of‐house and common areas.
* Support the promotion of leisure centre programs, activities, and events.
* Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and emergency procedures.
* Report hazards, incidents, and maintenance issues promptly to the Facility Manager.
* Assist in administrative and operational duties as required to support overall centre operations.
Relevant qualifications in Business Administration, or Sport and Recreation (or 2 years equivalent experience), and a current unrestricted WA C Class Driver's Licence are essential for this role.
