About the Role
As the Senior Business Systems analyst the successful person will be responsible for the ongoing development, management and sophistication of QRM, the system that is used to monitor the Bank’s interest rate risk, liquidity, profitability and forecasting. The role comprises of;
1. Completion of the planned initiatives in line with the Bank’s change and transformation agenda, involving migration and integration of application source systems into the balance sheet;
2. Identifying, planning, implementing and completion of enhancements sophistication and regular application & infrastructure upgrades;
3. Management of the QRM database, database design and development and maintenance of ETL processes,
4. Continual refinements to the system and databases;
5. Maintenance and governance of mapping documentation, including annual review;
6. Provide ongoing daily operational support ensuring the QRM system is operational on a timely basis to facilitate risk management and trouble-shoot issues when they exist;
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

8. Management Repository (MR) development and documentation
9. Environment and scripting maintenance
10. Testing and regression analysis co-ordination
11. Documentation of changes and review of control environment
12. Daily monitoring and support of processing
About you
Experience and Knowledge
13. At least 5 years' experience in SQL Server development preferably with exposure to Banking / Treasury environments
14. Business analysis, systems analysis, technical analysis and data analysis skills
15. Understanding of data modelling and database design, data warehousing and ETL processes
16. High level of understanding of IRRBB (Interest Rate Risk on the Banking Book), Liquidity and FTP (Funds Transfer Pricing) concepts and processes is desirable.
17. Experience working with technical and non-technical staff
18. Some experience working in IT vendors preferable but not essential
Competencies
19. High ability to design and develop ETL processes in a SQL Server environment
20. High ability to develop complex SQL queries / SQL scripting
21. High ability to perform data analysis and understand data modelling concepts
22. High level of analytical and problem-solving skills
23. Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical staff
24. Ability to prioritise tasks, work independently
25. Some experience with SAS and/or VB scripting
