Position Summary:
We are currently seeking compassionate and committed Support Workers to join our Children, Youth & Family Services division. In this role, you will provide direct care and supervision to young people in residential settings, supporting them in achieving their goals while ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide individualised care and daily supervision in a therapeutic residential setting.
2. Assist young people with daily activities, including personal care, educational support, and community engagement.
3. Promote a stable, safe, and positive living environment.
4. Build trusted relationships with young people by offering emotional guidance and mentorship.
5. Develop and implement care plans tailored to each individual’s needs.
6. Accurately maintain records and progress notes in line with Point Care policies and procedures.
7. Adhere to organisational standards and child safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
1. A genuine passion for supporting and empowering young people.
2. Understanding of trauma-informed care and child development.
3. Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
4. Capability to use a smartphone for clock-in/out and documentation purposes.
5. Previous experience in residential or similar care settings (preferred but not essential).
Mandatory Requirements (prior to or upon commencement):
1. Blue Card for Working with Children (QLD)
2. NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
3. Certificate IV (or higher) in a relevant qualification, or willingness to enrol
4. Unrestricted and valid driver’s licence
