Randstad Defence is currently partnering with one of Australia's leading defence organisations to secure exceptional talent for a key project in maritime construction.
We are seeking multiple experienced engineering professionals who specialise in acquiring a detailed understanding of equipment and manufacturing processes for use in a maritime construction facility.
The Role
As an Equipment Engineer/Specialist, you will contribute to a holistic equipment list for the major and minor, fixed and portable equipment used at the facility.
This will include:
* Creating detailed specifications and statements of work to support procurement of equipment
* Equipment selection, supplier qualification, design reviews, factory acceptance testing and training
You will be responsible for delivering equipment specifications, including technical drawings, written requirements and technical data for relevant disciplines such as fabrication, pipe manufacturing, machining, outfitting and commissioning.
About You
To be successful in this role, you must:
* Be an Australian citizen to hold and maintain an Australian NV1 Security Clearance
* Have significant experience delivering technical projects in industrial manufacturing industries
* Hold tertiary qualifications in engineering or project management
* Have experience in the Defence ship building industry (advantageous)
* Be able to consistently and positively manage multiple stakeholders and priorities
