The Role:
Austunnel is seeking experienced TBM Mechanical Fitters & Electrician to join our team working on Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) for major infrastructure projects in Western Australia.
This is not a FIFO or DIDO role, local accommodation will be required.

Essentials:
* Mechanical trade qualification (Australian recognised)
* Trade Certificate in Electrical (Australian recognised)
* Valid WA Electrical Licence (A Grade Electrical Licence)
* White Card + tickets (Working at Heights, HR WP etc. a bonus)
* 2+ years' experience in construction, mining or tunnelling
* Safety-focused, reliable, and team-oriented
* Flexibility for shifts, nights, and weekends
* Current CPR/LVR (For Electrician)
Desired Skills and Experience:
Electrician:
* Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of TBM electrical systems including power distribution, control panels, PLCs, and instrumentation.
* Develop, review, and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and single-line drawings.
* Monitor and troubleshoot TBM electrical faults to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
* Coordinate with mechanical, hydraulic, and control systems teams for integrated system functionality.
* Support procurement and evaluation of electrical equipment and materials.
* Conduct inspections, risk assessments, and preventive maintenance on all electrical installations.
Mechanical Fitters:
* Experience in TBM assembly and demobilisation, with a solid understanding of mechanical components and procedures.
* Previous experience working directly with TBMs, including operational support and troubleshooting.
* Proven ability to perform maintenance, repairs, and servicing of Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) and associated mechanical systems.
* Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including fault diagnosis and repair.
* Familiarity with Slurry Treatment Plants (STP), including maintenance and operational support.
* Experience working with Tunnelling Conveyor Systems, including installation, alignment, and servicing
