Forster Little Learners is a privately owned, family-run early learning service opening in Forster. Guided by our philosophy of Nurture, Inspire, Achieve, we are committed to delivering high-quality early childhood education and care in a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment where children, families, and educators feel genuinely supported and valued.
Forster Little Learners is part of the Little Learners Group, with established services in Lake Cathie, Wauchope, and Old Bar, and an exciting new Port Macquarie service currently in the construction phase. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a growing, values-led organisation with strong leadership support.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Centre Director / Nominated Supervisor to lead our service from opening and play a key role in building a strong, positive foundation from day one.
About the Role
As the Centre Director / Nominated Supervisor, you will be instrumental in the successful opening and ongoing leadership of the service. Working in partnership with the Approved Provider and Area Manager, you will guide daily operations, embed high-quality practice, and ensure compliance while creating a thriving and inclusive early learning environment aligned with our values.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily operation and administration of the service, acting as the Nominated Supervisor
* Establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with families and the local community
* Ensure the service meets all requirements of the NQS, EYLF, WHS, and relevant legislation
* Coordinate and lead continuous improvement processes, including the development and review of the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP)
* Manage staffing arrangements, resourcing, and budgets to support effective service delivery
* Create a supportive, inclusive, and high-performing team environment
* Mentor, coach, and support educators to strengthen practice and professional growth
About You
You are a confident and capable early childhood leader who is passionate about quality education, strong relationships, and building a positive workplace culture. You enjoy leading teams, managing compliance, and contributing to the successful establishment and growth of a new service.
Essential Requirements
* ACECQA-approved Diploma or Teaching Degree in Early Childhood Education
* Proven experience in a leadership or management role within an early childhood setting (experience as a Director or Nominated Supervisor highly regarded)
* In-depth understanding of the EYLF and NQS, with demonstrated experience contributing to or leading a QIP
* Ability to lead, support, and develop teams through effective communication and guidance
* High-level written and verbal communication skills
* Strong computer literacy and confidence with administrative systems
* Current First Aid, CPR, Child Protection, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates
* Current Working with Children Check and Police Check
