Brothers Leagues Club is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Compliance & Governance Officer to join our team.

About the Role
The Compliance & Governance Officer will lead and support compliance across a broad range of operational and regulatory areas, with a strong focus on:
* Liquor & Club Licensing Compliance (Queensland)
* Gaming Compliance – Clubs (Queensland)
* AML/CTF Compliance (Gaming Operations)
* Child Safety & Safeguarding
* Club Governance & Risk Management
* Training & Staff Compliance
* Incident, Audit & Enforcement Management
* HACCP
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and licence conditions
* Monitor and maintain liquor and gaming compliance frameworks
* Oversee AML/CTF obligations, including reporting, monitoring, and staff awareness
* Support the development and implementation of governance frameworks and policies
* Lead risk management processes, audits, and compliance reviews
* Manage incidents, investigations, and regulatory interactions
* Deliver and coordinate compliance training across all departments
* Provide guidance and reporting to senior management and the Board
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
* Strong knowledge of liquor and gaming legislation in Queensland
* Experience in compliance, governance, risk, or regulatory environments (clubs or hospitality highly regarded)
* Understanding of AML/CTF requirements (or willingness to develop expertise)
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to work independently and influence outcomes across departments
