- shifts per week: 2-3 (5 to 6 hour duration)
- weekends: be available for weekend work
- weekday rates: $33.99/hour weekday (Ages 20+)
- weekend rates: $44.34/hour weekend (Ages 20+)
**Position Overview**:
As a Till Operator at The Village Greens, you’ll be at the forefront of our customer service experience. You’ll be responsible for operating the console, assisting customers with fresh produce and fuel purchases, processing transactions, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This role also includes responsibility for closing shifts, helping to wrap up the day and prepare the store for the next. It’s a great opportunity to engage with customers while working in a rapid-paced and friendly environment.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, providing assistance and guidance as needed.
- Handle cash, card, and electronic transactions with precision and attention to detail.
- Monitor fuel pumps and maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the fuelling area.
- Handle and serve food items, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Assist with restocking shelves, inventory management, and general store maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive and enjoyable work environment.
- Basic math skills for closing procedures
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends.
- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a team-oriented culture.
