Reporting to our Head of Mechanical Engineering this role is perfect for a recent graduate or early-stage professional looking to get a start in the exciting renewables space.You will focus on:Keeping our production tools and equipment running smoothly, safely, and reliablyConducting preventative and corrective maintenance to minimise downtimeSupporting the installation and commissioning of new equipmentPartnering with Engineering and R&D teams to improve mechanical systems and test rigsMaintaining a clean, safe, and compliant work environmentManaging inventory of critical spare parts, tools, and consumablesFabrication of parts using 3D printers, CNC and other in-house tools.Contributing to the development of Australia's most advanced solar cell production capabilityWe would love you to have:Certificate III/IV in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a Mechanical Engineering degreeA strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on skills in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairExperience with CNC machines, 3D printing, manual fabrication, and plastic weldingA proactive, safety-first mindset and familiarity with WHSE complianceA knack for problem-solving, planning, and prioritising tasks independentlyExcellent teamwork and communication – you'll work closely with engineers, operators, and other specialistsBenefits @ SunDrive
