- Play a key role in supporting the efficient management of our inpatient dataset

**About The Role**
The Health Dataset Officer's key responsibilities are data submission, auditing, testing, documentation and training. This role is also responsible for developing and implementing the necessary underlying business processes to ensure compliance with Department of Health definitions and business rules.
The role is multi-facetted and will encompass liaising and building key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, a willingness to learn with a positive approach to a frequently changing environment and conduct training at various Monash Health sites.
**About You**
We are looking for accomplished team players with a passion for people and systems to work part-time (32 hours per week). There is also the potential to work an extra day (40 hours per week) when required.
**You can readily demonstrate**:
- Experience providing end-user training including development of training material and other reference documentation
- Experience with data quality activities including data remediation, data audits and corrections
- Experience and demonstrated skill and knowledge with using a PAS (e.g. iPM, HMS)
- Experience with Microsoft Office software (specifically, Excel, Word and Publisher)
- Functionality and extract testing with any system upgrade
- Ability to think analytically, logically and laterally
- High attention to detail
**Ideally you will also have**:
- Previous experience in reporting data to the Department of Health and Human Services including an understanding of the datasets and reporting requirements
- An understanding of the relationship between data reported and Activity Based Funding
**What You Need**
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Experience using a Patient Administration System (PAS) e.g., iPM, HMS
- _ Understanding of an Emergency Data Information System (EDIS)_
- Working knowledge of data entry and business processes within health services
- _ Understanding of DH reporting guidelines and policies_
- _ Understanding of ABF_
- Demonstrated commitment to high quality outcomes and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal with an ability to relate to staff at all levels
- Planning, organisational and time management skills
