Talent International is currently recruiting a Medical Typist (On-site) to work for the NSW Government, based in Camperdown. The position is a 6-month contract role with the possibility of extension. The role pays $35.84/ hour + Super.
Hours of Work: 8 hours per day / 38 hours per week
About the Role:
You will be part of a dedicated medical administration team working closely with staff specialists and scientists to produce accurate patient reports, often related to cancer diagnosis.
The role requires prior medical typing experience, with structured on-the-job training provided across typing, data entry, and front desk duties.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accurate and timely medical typing of patient reports
* Managing administrative tasks in a high-volume environment
* Data entry and use of electronic medical administration systems
* Liaising professionally with clinicians, scientists, and patients
* Supporting front desk and general administrative functions as required
Selection Criteria:
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
* Strong time management, planning, and prioritisation skills to meet deadlines
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and electronic administration systems
* Sound knowledge of medical terminology with the ability to work independently
* Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work accurately under pressure in a high-volume medical environment
