The role of a Compliance and Risk Management Specialist is to safeguard financial institutions from financial crime risk, including money laundering, terrorist financing, bribery, corruption, fraud, sanctions risk, tax evasion, and reputational risk. The individual will be responsible for performing anti-financial crime checks as part of the onboarding process for corporate clients in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

* Safeguarding financial institutions and client relationships from financial crime risk through comprehensive Know Your Customer (KYC) processes.

* Performing anti-financial crime checks for corporate clients, ensuring adherence to relevant legislative and internal requirements.

* Conducting thorough Client Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) checks for complex entity types, including Funds and Limited Partnerships.

* Direct communication with clients regarding onboarding requirements.
">
* Presentation of onboarding requirements to clients in a clear and compliant manner.

* Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of anti-financial crime policies and procedures.

Requirements:

* Fluency in English. Additional languages may be beneficial.

* Minimum 3-4 years of experience in conducting CDD and EDD with corporate clients in the Australian market.

* Understanding of CDD specific to complex entity types, including Funds and Limited Partnerships.

* Advanced knowledge of red flags and financial crime typologies relevant to the payments, FX space, and institutional space.
