Job Description:
The role of the Student Wellbeing Leader revolves around supporting young people to achieve academic success, psychological health, and social and emotional wellbeing.
This involves providing high-quality advice and support to students and staff. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Student Wellbeing team to:
* Meet with relevant staff, parents, and guardians to identify wellbeing needs, develop case management plans, and provide necessary support, advocacy, referrals, and information.
* Liaise with external agencies as required for ongoing case management.
* Maintain comprehensive and confidential data collection and records related to student case management plans.
The ideal candidate will also be responsible for conducting parent meetings, including home visits where necessary, and providing effective support, including counselling, to the student community.
Liaising with Learning Community Leaders is crucial in the implementation of the College's and DET's Student Wellbeing and Engagement Policy.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a similar role or a related field.
* Demonstrated expertise in student wellbeing, mental health, and case management.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
