Bistro Francias is a quality-driven, high-volume French restaurant where genuine hospitality meets operational excellence. We are growing, and an exciting opportunity now exists for a self-motivated, committed Restaurant Manager to join our team in Hyde Park.
About the Role
As the Restaurant Manager, you will play a central role in delivering exceptional guest experiences while ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day operations. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives in a premium dining environment and is passionate about French cuisine and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting, training and supervising staff
Agreeing and managing budgets
Planning menus in consultation with Chefs
Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene, and health & safety legislation
Promoting and marketing the business
Ordering supplies and overseeing stock levels
Producing staff rosters
Handling customer enquiries and complaints
Taking reservations and overseeing front-of-house operations
Greeting and advising customers
Preparing and presenting staffing and sales reports
Keeping statistical and financial records
Assessing and improving profitability
Setting targets and KPIs
Managing administration and paperwork
Liaising with customers, employees, suppliers, licensing authorities, and representatives
Identifying opportunities to improve business operations and enhance the restaurant
Ensuring a respectful, positive workplace culture
Supporting senior management in achieving profit goals
About You – The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will have :
Deep understanding of hospitality operations
Strong leadership and team-management skills
Exceptional communication skills
Professional qualifications in hospitality management
Strong understanding of French cuisine, culinary principles, menu development and terminology
Knowledge of wine pairing – understanding how wine body and flavours complement French dishes
Resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence
Experience Required
Minimum 3 years full-time experience in a similar Restaurant Manager role.
