HR Officers are critical in supporting the ACIC and its people, from delivering on attraction, recruitment and retention strategies, to supporting employees and managers in relation to entitlements or wellbeing. HR Officers support the design, delivery and implementation of strategies which contribute to organisational goals and priorities, or those which support staff and managers.
People Branch Sections
People Branch is seeking motivated and driven individuals to fill current and future vacancies across the following sections:
* Workforce Strategy
* People Services and Safety
* Workplace Relations and Learning
* Intelligence Training
We have vacancies now, but we are also building a talent pipeline to fill vacancies as they arise over the next 18 months. Candidates are encouraged to outline their skills, experience and capabilities in relation to specific or multiple functions.
Role responsibilities
* Provide timely and accurate advice to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures and processes
* Maintain HR records and systems, ensuring data integrity, confidentiality and compliance with APS policies and legislation
* Prepare reports, briefing material and correspondence
* Undertake general administrative duties to support the effective operation of the People branch
Your skills and capabilities
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
* Sound written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work collaboratively and provide customer-focused service
* Ability to interpret and apply legislation, policy and guidelines in a practical workplace context
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems (e.g. Aurion, SAP or similar)
Eligibility
* Citizenship – To be eligible for employment with the ACIC, applicants must be an Australian citizen.
* Security Clearance – The Australian community expects ACIC employees to maintain the highest levels of security and integrity. Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
* Pre-Employment Screening – All candidates must satisfy an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to being offered employment at the ACIC.
