Location Darwin Description This job will be offered as part time geriatrics/part time general medicine position up to 1.0 FTE in total, ideally suited to a dual trained Geriatrician/General Physician. A high level of leadership skills will be required to manage a large team of junior staff in busy units. An exceptional understanding of complex discharge planning and willingness to engage ambulatory care services to ensure timely discharges will be required in our challenging environment. Engagement with cultural orientation is essential for any interested applicant as well as the ability to work well in a team and engage patients of the diverse multicultural background of the Top End of the Northern Territory. AHPRA Specialist registration with FRACP in General and Acute Care Medicine. Consideration will be given to applicants with fellowship in another specialty if they can demonstrate proven equivalent skills and experience in General/Geriatric Medicine.
