First Principle Estimating Experience.
Contract Role with Working Flexibility PAYG or Independent Contractor OpportunityWith a strong background in estimating and being able to understand drawing and breakdown estimates between man, machine, plant etc costs.
We need someone ideally with a background in the construction industry and even better if you have experience with the pipelines.Position Overview: Contract Adelaide Flexible Working We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team, specialising piplines and water infrastructure projects.
In this role, you will develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for water pipelines, pump stations, water treatment plants, and associated mechanical, electrical and civil works.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare precise and detailed cost estimates for water infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs, and treatment plants.
Analyse project plans, technical specifications, and site conditions to determine material, Labour, and equipment requirements.
Engage with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to source competitive pricing for water-related infrastructure materials and services.
Assess project risks and propose cost-effective solutions while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Develop and submit bid proposals that align with client specifications and contractual obligations.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure cost control throughout project execution.
Provide value engineering recommendations to enhance efficiency and reduce project costs.
Lead from the front, fostering expertise in water infrastructure estimating practices.
Stay up to date on water industry trends, emerging technologies, and cost structures to refine estimating accuracy.
Maintain organised estimating documentation for future reference and project tracking.
Qualifications: Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience in estimating water infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pump stations, and treatment plants desirable.
Strong knowledge of water pipeline installation methods, piping systems, and civil construction best practices.
Excellent understanding of construction methodologies, cost structures, and industry regulations related to water infrastructure.
Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail to identify risks and opportunities.
Effective communication and negotiation skills for coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
Ability to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines.
A proactive, team-oriented mindset with leadership capabilities.
